  • loaf pan
  • wire rack

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas mashed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup natural applesauce
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
  • In a large bowl mash bananas with a fork or potato masher.
  • Then add in the egg, light brown sugar, applesauce, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda. Then combine with a large spoon or spatula. Make sure to not overmix the batter. You just want to ensure that everything is mixed together.
  • Pour mixture into greased loaf pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes. Start testing the loaf at 45 minutes. Either stick a toothpick or skewer into the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean the bread is done. If not, put back into the oven for 5 minute increments.
