This Banana Cheesecake is the perfect solution to your sweet tooth. You can indulge without feeling guilty because this recipe is low in fat, sugar, and carbs. All you have to do is mix together some ingredients and bake them up into a creamy treat.
Banana is favorite flavor profile when it comes to dessert. I love making this banana bread recipe as a special breakfast or dessert treat. I also make Weight Watchers Banana Pudding often.
See, I love cheesecake. It is one of my favorites but my love for it doesn't compare to my husbands. We pretty much always have one form of Weight Watchers Cheesecake Desserts, like Weight Watchers 0 Point Cheesecake, Weight Watchers Chocolate Cheesecake, Weight Watchers Butterscotch Cheesecake, WW 0 Point Lemon Cheesecake, or WW White Chocolate Cheesecake on hand, and when hubby got the craving for banana, I had to figure out a way to keep him on track.
How to Store Leftover Cheesecake
You want to store this in the refrigerator. Be sure to wrap it well with plastic wrap so that it is not affected by the air. If it is stored properly, it will last for about 5 days in the refrigerator.
Can Banana Pudding Cheesecake Be Frozen
I personally do not like the way this cheesecake freezes. Since it is a softer and is not as dense as a traditional recipe, the texture is different when it freezes and it is not a texture that I enjoy.
Is There a Crust
There is no crust in this recipe. That is because there are a lot of points in a cheesecake crust. A typical crust is made with graham crackers, sugars and butter. Graham crackers, even the low fat kind, are about 32 points for the whole recipe. It is best to make this banana pudding cheesecake without a crust.
How to Serve
You can cut this banana cream cheesecake into 4 slices or 8 slices. How many slices you cut it into will determine how many calories, fat or points is in the serving. I count this as 8 servings, however, hubby usually eats 2 slices at a time.
How to Tell When Cheesecake is Done
Cheesecake is done baking when the center of the cake looks slightly puffed. The edges will also be lightly browned. There is also a slight jiggle to the center. This banana pudding cheesecake is a bit soft right out of the oven, so I don't suggest trying to remove it from the pan until it has cooled down completely or run the risk of breaking it. This is why you need to let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Variations
I tend to serve this banana cheesecake with just fresh bananas on top. However, there are a lot of ways that you can serve it. You can add chocolate chips to the batter or along the top of the cheesecake. You can also add a little bit of this sugar free chocolate syrup too. Sugar free caramel sauce will also be perfect with the banana flavor.
How Much Does This Recipe Cost to Make
This is a very inexpensive dessert to make. It costs $1.62 to make the cheesecake. Since this recipe is 8 servings, that means that this pie comes in at $0.20 per slice.
- Recipe cost: $1.62
- Total servings: 8
- Serving size: approx. 1 slice
- Cost per serving: $0.20
How Many Points in This Weight Watchers Banana Cheesecake
The best thing about this Weight Watchers Banana Cheesecake, besides how crazy simple it is to make, it that the ingredients are 0 points. That means if you eat one slice, when cut into 8 pieces, this cheesecake is 0 points. If you eat the entire cheesecake (which I don't recommend) it is only 4 points.
